FATA University celebrated the International Anti-Corruption Day under the directives of HEC with a one-day National Seminar on “Anti-Corruption and Youth in KP” on December 12, 2018. It highlighted the detrimental effects of corruption on Pakistan and aimed at creating an awareness among the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in general and of erstwhile FATA in particular that how this youth can play its role in corruption-free Pakistan. Mr. Mian Muhammad Waqar, Director, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was the Guest Speaker at the occasion. He elaborated the mechanism through which the various types of corruption are taking place and explained the role of NAB in eliminating the corruption from the country. He also answered the questions raised by the faculty and the students in detail. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tahir Shah, thanked the Guest Speaker and asked the students to play their role in completely eliminating the cancer of corruption from the country. The seminar was organized by ‘Character Building Society’ of FATA University under the supervision of Ms. Shagufta Aman and Mr. Saeed Khalil of Political Science department. The Seminar ended with an Anti-Corruption Walk.
