A one day seminar on “Afghanistan after US draw down: Regional Ramification with Specific Emphases on Pakistan” was organized by the Literary and Debating Society in the Seminar Hall of the FATA University on April 12, 2017. The faculty, staff and students of the university have attended the workshop. Lt. General Mumtaz Gul (Ex-Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar) has also graced the occasion with his presence. Colonel Aziz Gul, Chief Security Officer, University of Peshawar was the invited speaker. Colonel Gul in his presentation elaborated the various aspects of the war on terror and its past, present and future scenarios. He also explained the expected aftermaths of the US draw down from Afghanistan and its impact on Pakistan as a whole and FATA region in special. Lt. General Mumtaz Gul in his address advised the students to work hard and get higher education for their better future. He also stressed upon the students to become well-mannered and productive human being as they are the future of Pakistan. At the end Prof. Dr. M. Tahir Shah, Vice Chancellor, FATA University thanked the members of the Literary and Debating Society for organizing the workshop. He also thanked Lt. General Mumtaz Gul and Colonel Aziz Gul for sparing time and sharing their valuable thoughts with the faculty, staff and students of the FATA University.
